 <title>4 Himalayan Flower Stamps Issued !</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;On 23rd December 2003, Nepal issued a beautiful set of 4 Himalayan Flower stamps. The flowers are of Lotus, Picrorhiza, Himalayan Rhubarb and Night Jasmine.  <title>MR. DICK VAN DER WATEREN welcomed in Nepal !</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Mr. Dick Van Der Wateren the Vice President of "Nepal Tibet Philatelic Study Circle" visited Nepal Philatelic Society, Kathmandu, new office on 1st February 2004. He was touring Nepal for a week. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The President of Nepal Philatelic Society Mr. Kedar Pradhan had given a luncheon in his honor at Marcopolo Business Hotel on 1st February. About 20 active member of NPS were present there. After short note on the promotional philatelic activities in Nepal, Dick gave a generous donation of Euro 200 to NPS. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Similarly, a Dinner was hosted in his honor on 31st of January 2004 by Mr. Sagar M. Shrestha the coordinator for the "Friends of Nepal Tibet Study Circle". Many renowned philatelists of Kathmandu were present on this occasion. After having exchanged provoking thoughts and ideas o&amp;shy;n Nepal Philately, Dick left Kathmandu on 3rd Feb. at 8pm local time.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Commemorative Stamp Issued in honour of Mountaineer Late Babu Chiri Sherpa</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Babu Chiri Sherpa, world renowned mountaineer was born in 1965 A.D. at Taksindu Village Development Committee in Solukhumbu District as son of Lhakpa Sherpa&lt;br /&gt;
  and Pasi Sherpa. He started to climb the scaled 9954 meter high Mount Mera in&lt;br /&gt;
  1988. Likewise, he ascended Mt. Kanchanjanga, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt.&lt;br /&gt;
  Ama Dablam and successfully climbed the Mt. Everest ten times. In 1999 he spent&lt;br /&gt;
  21 hours on top of the Mt. Everest without using bottle oxygen setting world&lt;br /&gt;
  record. On 21 May 2000, he climbed the Mt. Everest in sixteen hours and fifty-six&lt;br /&gt;
  minutes, the shortest duration covered from the base camp, setting world record&lt;br /&gt;
  at that time and becoming world renowned mountaineer. He was decorated with&lt;br /&gt;
  Suprasiddha Gorakha Dakshin Bahu First class and awarded with many more decorations. He passed away unfortunately in an accident on 29 April, 2001 in crevasse while&lt;br /&gt;
  on his way to scale the highest peak on the earth for the eleventh time.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The portrait of this world renowned mountaineer Babu Chiti Sherpa along with&lt;br /&gt;
  the background picture of Mt. Everest is depicted in the postage stamp, in order&lt;br /&gt;
  to commemorate the importance of this brave and world renowned records. This&lt;br /&gt;
  cover has the autograph of 13 time Everest Summiter Apa Sherpa.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Nepal Issues New Postage Stamp and Commemorative Cover</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;On 29th May 2003 Nepal has issued Rs. 25 Denomination postage stamp to mark the &lt;b&gt;"Golden Jubilee of the First Ascent of Mt. Everest 2003."&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On this occassion commemorative covers were also issued to mark different records set by Everest Summiters. &lt;/p&gt;
